What to take with you when you fly

Paragliding Kit (mine is 6-8oz)

  • Stuff Sack
  • First Aid:
  • First Aid Tape
  • 3 Quick Clot Gauze (hemostatic gauze)
  • 1 Tourniquet (note: some of these will fail if they are imitations)
  • 4 4x4 Gauze
  • Latex Gloves
  • CPR Shield (only because I hate to do mouth to mouth)
  • Super Glue
  • Duct Tape
  • Portable Aqua tablets
  • Waterproof matches
  • Lighter
  • Mini Leatherman/multi tool
  • Mini clip on light
  • Compass with signal mirror
  • Ring Saw/wire saw
  • Dental Floss
  • ID card/business card
  • Loud plastic whistle
  • Toilet Paper

Additional options:

  • Mosquito repellent/net
  • Foil blanket ( I think the wing is better assuming it is not in a tree)
  • Small fishing kit (really? Hard core)
Pain killers, (I do not recommend this, I recommend Tylenol, Ibuprofen)

Tree Kit
You will need the right gear and knowledge to use it. When in doubt, wait for help. Having dental floss to pull a rope up to you may help with a rescue. Another trick is to use your speed system to climb with. You can untie it from your wing and tie it to your bridle to un-weight your harness if you plan to repel in your harness.

Thanks for sharing Eric. I think I need to build up my kit a little more. Much appreciated!
